
I’ve been working in the Automotive industry for nearly 30 years so have a fair idea of what makes a good car. I also have a daughter who's recently passed her driving test.
Offering advice on the ‘best buy’ for friends, relatives, and more recently my daughter's friends (and friend's parents) has been a frequent occurrence, so all in all, setting up ur1stcar seemed like a good way to help more young drivers.
Being 'into cars' from early-teenage gave me a lot of the practical knowledge of buying and running cars and now, as a parent, I'm only too aware of the dangers associated with young/inexperienced drivers. I hope the ur1stcar site can help visitors understand what is involved with becoming a driver, including the risks, and what can be done to minimise them through driver education and training and by driving the right first car.
