General description

Fiat do their own thing with the looks of the car but not as extreme as some others (Multipla anybody?).

It's a good little car, good enough to be the basis for both the Fiat 500 and the new Ford Ka.

The Panda 4X4 is the cheapest new 4X4 on the market and being small and surprisingly capable off-road, can get in many places that larger 4X4s can't.

Things to look for when buying one

Hopefully more reliable than previous generation Fiats if looked after. Most will have been dealer serviced - but check.

The good bits

Spacious, frugal and a bit funky.

Make that very funky if you can stretch to the 100HP.

The not so good bits

Not a ball of fire to drive.....unless you get the 100HP which is a great ball of fire !

Unfortunately it's Group 5 insurance and has a pretty hard ride....
